Focal Point is an International Voice over IP Wholesaler. The company was incorporated in June 2004, and is able to provide nearly all international destinations on a wholesale basis.

 

Focal Point has implemented a simple business model, whereby its customers send their targets prices and its suppliers send their rate sheets. When opportunities are identified, an offer is made and the route is implemented on Focal Point's network.

 

It is Focal Point's goal to build relationships for the long term, starting even with a single destination and adding to it with time. We are not looking to make the "quick profit", but rather to work with companies that can be trusted and would be enjoyable working with for the long term. As such, we do not maintain an A-Z price list, but rather hand pick destinations that would prove to be a winning opportunity for all of the parties involved.

 

All routing is currently done via open IP, so the cost of setup is kept to a minimum, both from a financial perspective as well as a time perspective. Rating is all done on a wholesale plan, with no minimum call duration and rates applied on a per second basis (with few exceptions when dictated by local carriers), in order to make sure that customers pay for only what they use.

 

Billing is done often, in order to minimize the risk to BOTH parties, while keeping the cost of risk to a minimum - also for BOTH parties. The theory behind this business strategy is that both parties need to feel comfortable - it needs to be a win-win, and Focal Point does everything possible to make that happen (the same is obviously expected from business partners, both customers and suppliers).
